Point of sale for hardware stores

A typical checkout is about thirty seconds.

Compete is built behind the counter: inventory, house accounts, lumber tickets, and House-Hasson orders with one button. When you call, a person answers.

Hardware-store checkout

About thirty seconds. Then the next customer.

A typical Compete checkout takes about 30 seconds. Other systems we have timed run about two minutes.

Built for the hardware counter.

Checkout

Scan a barcode or enter a SKU, then take cash, a card, or a house account on the same ticket. Card payments run through Worldpay. That ticket can include fasteners and a special-order door.

Customer accounts

Keep house accounts, credit limits, purchase history, loyalty, and statements.

Inventory

Track what is on hand, reorder points, and cycle counts. Fasteners, paint, and long goods stay in the same inventory.

Price monitoring

Check a price next to a browser window, and watch a vendor page while you change a SKU.

Reporting

Review sales, profit, and how each employee performed.

Email invoices

Send invoices and statements by email. That is $15 a month per 10,000 emails.

Scale

Run up to 25 computers at one location, and more than one store.

Support and updates

Support and updates are $250 a month. If you stop paying, they stop. The system still runs.

Receive your orders with 1 button.

You send the order, pull the invoices, update the catalog, and bring in the new prices from the counter.

Custom software since 1984.
Hardware store integration since 1999.

What started as a point of sale solution to Sales/Teller in 1998 turned into Complete Retail Management Software for Windows (CRMSWin). With a background in custom software and hardware store integration, Associated Business Concepts went into the hardware store point of sale industry by building what employees use in the stores and learning how the day-to-day works. After 25 years of maintaining this system, the time has come to rewrite with Asset Based Consulting in order to leave the legacy software era and move into the future. While still family-owned, with a personal touch, the staff has been expanded in order to serve more customers nationwide. So we are making the leap from CRMSWin to Compete Point of Sale.
